Program Overview
This 3‑day experiential programme supports Year 6 pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. Using the Eagala Model, pupils explore identity, strengths, challenges, friendships, and future readiness through metaphor, herd dynamics, and non‑verbal problem‑solving.
🎯 Program Purpose
To support Year 6 pupils as they prepare for the move to secondary school by strengthening:
• Emotional regulation
• Confidence and self‑belief
• Communication and social skills
• Problem‑solving and resilience
• A sense of agency and readiness for change
The Eagala model provides a safe, experiential environment where pupils explore transition themes through metaphor, herd dynamics, and embodied learning.
Core Principles
• No riding
• Horses as active partners
• Facilitators avoid interpretation
• Solution‑focused, client‑led meaning‑making
• Emotional and physical safety
• Trauma‑informed practice

• Groups of 6–10 pupils

• No riding — all ground‑based
